Building in Progress
Main Building – Home and Lodge
The wood for the posts and beams is Vesi (Fijian ironwood). The trees were felled locally – just across the bay – by the land owner, Brenton Reece. He and his team hauled them across, and did the milling onsite.
Cottage in Progress
Other construction supplies are purchased on the Viti Levu mainland and shipped by ferry to Kadavu.
From ferry to small truck to fiberglass boat, they are transported to Galoa Island and hand carried to the top of the hill.
